FAQ’s:

What exactly is the Brewhouse space?

• Just as it sounds, this is the space where we brew and develop our incredible beer.  The brewhouse space is lined with five fermenters and a mash tun for your viewing pleasure.  This space accommodates approximately 24 seated guests. More guests can fit should you choose if to use the space as a standing room with barrels for setting beers and hors d’oeuvres.

• Most groups that host parties in the brewhouse use this space to serve food and place personal items, while enjoying the whole of our brewery.  This includes the main taproom along with outdoor patio. The brewhouse space is semi-private, while the main taproom and patio are open to general public during regular business hours 11am-11pm.

Can I bring in outside food?

• Yes.  Broken Compass does NOT have a kitchen. Customers may bring in or cater their own food if you so choose.  *Note: Food items and serving equipment brought in must also be removed when group leaves.  Broken Compass does have tables available for food serving.

Can I bring in outside liquor/wine/etc?

• No. Broken Compass Brewing is a manufacturing brewery and our liquor license only allows us to serve beers that we produce onsite. We cannot allow wine or other outside alcoholic beverages to be brought in. We can run group tabs or handle tabs in several ways to suit the needs of your particular party. 

Can I bring decorations?

• Yes.  Guests booking the brewhouse space may bring decorations for tables and to welcome guests at the entry way.  Hanging items are allowed minimally due to the commercial nature of the brewhouse. No confetti or similar size items.

• Any food scraps, trash or decorations brought into the brewery MUST be removed by your party upon your departure, and the room must be left tidy and clean.

Can I buy out the entire brewery?

• In order to provide the best customer service to our day-to-day guests, we only consider closing the taproom for private parties on rare occasions. Please contact info@breweryhill.com to discuss pricing and availability. 

When is the semi-private event space available?

• Brewery taproom hours are from 11:30am - 10:30pm everyday.  Brewhouse bookings are dependent upon our brewers schedule which may vary at times.  The brewhouse semi-private space is available most evenings after 5 PM and occasionally earlier on weekends, pending our brewers schedule.

What is the cost?

• Cost of reservations vary depending on the day, time and length of the reservation. Please fill out our reservation request form or contact info@breweryhill.com for more info.

What if I want to bring a large group to the taproom but do not want to book brewhouse space?

• Customers are welcome to bring a group any day of the week.  Broken Compass however, does not reserve regular taproom tables.  These are first come, first serve. In order to receive best service, we always appreciate a heads up if you are planning to bring a group of 20+ to the main taproom on any given day.

Do you offer tours?  Tastings?

• We do not typically offer tours at Broken Compass.  We are a small craft brewery therefore our brewers stay busy!  All brewhouse equipment you can easily see when in the brewhouse space or even as you walk by. 

• As for tastings, we offer build-your-own flights in our taproom.  Beertender staff are happy to share recommendations and beer knowledge on any of our 13 taps for your thirst quenching pleasure!

Are all spaces ADA compliant?

• Yes.  The main taproom, brewhouse, outdoor patio and restrooms are all accessible.
